Overview: As a Woodworker/Cabinetmaker at Hegi, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our brand identity, quality, and craftsmanship. This position involves crafting and developing new furniture designs that drive business expansion and growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure quality consistency and alignment with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and Assembly: Construct and assemble custom furniture and cabinetry according to detailed specifications and design plans.
  • Material Selection and Preparation: Select appropriate materials, including wood, veneers, and hardware, and prepare them for use in projects.
  • Precision Work: Utilize woodworking tools and machinery to cut, shape, and join materials with precision and accuracy.
  • Finishing: Apply finishes, stains, and protective coatings to enhance the appearance and durability of completed pieces.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to interpret and execute design concepts.
  • Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in woodworking and cabinetmaking.
  • Skills: Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, and finishing wood. Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
  • Design Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the fabrication process.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
  • Education: A degree or certification in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field is preferred.
